Project Commercial Coordinator  (with Retention Collection Focus)– Jaipur on Third party Contract.  

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Engineering, Commerce, or related field (MBA finance)
  • 4–8 years of experience in project coordination, commercial operations, or customer-facing roles
  • Proven experience in retention and cash collection processes
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and project tracking tools
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines

The Project Commercial Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring the financial and operational success of  Client projects by driving timely cash and retention collections, coordinating engineering and site activities, and supporting contract closure. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, customer interfacing skills, and a proactive approach to commercial execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Retention Payment Collection (Primary Focus)

  • Act as the single point of contact for tracking and expediting retention payments post-commissioning.
  • Coordinate with customer finance teams to ensure timely release of retention as per contractual terms.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow-up schedules to avoid delays in collection.
  • Escalate and resolve disputes or delays in coordination with internal stakeholders.

2. Cash Collection & Billing Coordination

  • Drive timely milestone-based collections and resolve billing issues with customers.
  • Ensure alignment between site teams, finance, and customer for smooth invoice processing.

3. Engineering & Documentation Approvals

  • Liaise with engineering teams and customers to secure timely technical approvals.
  • Track and escalate delays in drawing/documentation submissions that impact billing or delivery.

4. Site Coordination & RHQ Billing Movement

  • Coordinate with site teams for movement of bills and documentation to RHQ.
  • Ensure timely submission of commissioning and inspection records for invoicing.

5. Customer Engagement (NR1/Jaipur Region)

  • Manage key customer relationships in the NR1/Jaipur region.
  • Represent Client in review meetings and maintain regular communication throughout the project lifecycle.

6. Inter-Unit Coordination

  • Facilitate seamless coordination across clients units to ensure timely movement and execution of clients projects.
  • Resolve inter-departmental dependencies to avoid project delays.

7. Bank Guarantee (BG) Management

  • Track and retrieve BGs post milestone completion.
  • Coordinate with customers for BG reduction or release as per contract terms.

8. Contract Closure Support

  • Assist in compiling all commercial and technical documentation for contract closure.
  • Ensure compliance with all closure requirements to enable final settlement and release of retention.
