Job Description
· Manageand drive staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives and process changeinitiatives, to enable Operations to attain our Business Plan
· Manage ateam of 10 to 20 with responsibility of a department, within a very fast-paced/time-critical and demanding environment
·Set/clarify requirements and expectations for Operations Assistant Managers andTeam Leaders
· Measureperformance through metrics, providing feedback, and holding front lineassociates accountable for their performance and the performance of the taskthey are assigned to handle
· As neededpartner with Astt. Managers & TL’s to establish corrective plans to insurethat department meets objectives
· Leverageideas of other Business Unit Managers and Team Leaders to source and nurturecreative improvement plans for Operations eco system
· Takeproactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all work typesand shifts
· Beresponsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of thedepartment
· Workclosely with support staff (HR, Finance, Admin, HNIT and Automation Manager) tobuild and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives
· Carry outsupervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies andprocedures
· Manageand promote the maintenance of the working environment including driving healthand safety standards across your operational area
· Maintainsa complete management overview and thorough understanding of inventory in amulti-product environment
· Achievedamaged/defective reimbursement targets
·Implements change and/or develops new processes as required to provide abilityto better manage the operational workflow
·Continuously measure and evaluate the departmental goals and all workprocesses, available daily labour and daily production goals
· Manageand report metrics daily
· Beresponsible to answer all questions for his department and act as a master ofhis domain
