Job Description

·         Establishing and executing product strategy, and identify, onboard and partner with vendors to drive business growth.·         Analyse data or insights to determine industry and consumertrends·         Devise long-term development strategies for product categories.·         Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products.·         Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve betterpricing and quality of services·         Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand productcategories·         Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue forcategory·         Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainabilityof inventory·         Managing multiple vendors such as developing and evaluating themon certain parameters & Carrying out optimization of vendors·         Closely studying  past sales data to determine trends inproductivity·         Suggesting adjustments and revisions to promotional strategiesto take sales and profitability to the next level.·         Helping new vendors to meet impossibilities and buildingrelationships with them.·         Delivering a world-class customer experience and exceptionalsales and margin growth for assigned categories.·         Strategic planning across category for short-term as well aslong-term horizons.·         Determining customer market needs, growing selection acrosssub-categories, brands and use cases, managing vendor, negotiating and optimizingvendor terms and getting support for marketing campaigns.·         Build strong relationships with existing vendors and executenegotiations to secure best pricing, sales programs, promotional support,exclusivity, bundling etc.·         Developing with Pricing team overall pricing strategy andpromotional calendar across categories to drive sales and profit goals, byconducting relevant market research on competitors and products.·         Responsible for ensuring the latest assortments is available onthe portal and keep identifying opportunities to bring on new product lines forassigned category/ ies.·         Identify and develop new market opportunities and create aroad-map for category to improve on all key points like returns, cancellationsetc.·         Creating MIS reports, weekly/monthly dashboard on vendor andcategory performance.·         Coordinating with cross-functional teams for smooth execution ofall online backend operations – Inventory, Sourcing, CMT, Shipping, Finance,listing, sales etc. and suggest and simplify processes for smooth functioningof operations.
